Depending on how deeply your relationship was involved, then of course you may have different reactions. If you had one or two dates or just a 'hook up' it may be easier, than others. But if you were heavily involved such as seeing each other weekly or daily, for weeks or months, you expect a common courtesy breakup discussion.
