Boundary shaping does begin with childhood experiences, on up to adolescence and young adulthood. Only with a confident secure setting can individuals build healthy boundaries. The ability to decide what is and what is not appropriate or acceptable to you relies on early treatment and interaction within our social setting. Family, school, and work settings all contribute to how good we feel about ourselves-often referred to as self-esteem or self-confidence building.
